Championship Men’s Fours Results

The finals of the above event were held on Sunday 29th September in perfect conditions. A great credit to the organisation of Club Captain Martin Saunders and our sponsors John & Wendy O’Meehan. Most games were very close: a tribute to random selection of teams.

The second Championship semi-final between Ron Stapleton’s team (Alan Davison, Peter Prout, Kent Warburton) and Lindsay Richardson’s team( Rick Camins, Martin Adams, Ron Day) ended with a win for Lindsay Richardson, 17-14.

The second Plate semi-final between John Pole’s team (Gordy Wilson, Gof Bowles, Ivor Davies) and Martin Saunders’ team (Simon Gazia (filling in for John O’Meehan), David Wood, Chis Biris) ended with a win for Martin Saunders, 18-14.

The Championship Final between Lindsay Richardson’s team (Rick Camins, Martin Adams, Ron Day) and Andrew Foster’s team( Ross MacKenzie, Tony Payne, Ian Freedman) ended with a win for Lindsay Richardson (see photo above).

The Plate Final between John McCormack’s team (Doug Cross, Lindsay Brown, Ken Brooke) and Martin Saunders’ team(Simon Gazia, David Wood, Chis Biris) ended with a win for John McCormack.
