Doug & Lesley Cross win mixed pairs

The Championship Mixed Pairs reached an exciting conclusion on Sunday with Lesley and Doug Cross (picture above) defeating Sally and Ian Day (below on the right with the winners) in a tight contest. On a warm afternoon, a sizeable crowd of spectators was treated to a high quality game, with both teams winning 8 ends and a final score of 16-14.

In the Plate, the winners were Sue Harris and Ron Stapleton (on the right below) by 16-11 over Wendy Ireland and Alan Pitman. Congratulations to the winners and many thanks to all who entered the event and those that came along to support the finalists.
