John O’Meehan awarded Life Membership

The recognition of John O’Meehan’s long and distinguished contribution to the Dalkeith Nedlands Bowling Club, by awarding him a life membership, is most welcome.

For the thirty years I have been a member of the club, John has been a significant contributor as player, volunteer and a generous financial supporter wherever he could assist.

Just as he has done in other communities he has been a member of, he has always contributed, often without fanfare. If there was something that needed doing, and John saw an opportunity to help, he would do whatever he could, without any fuss.

His bowling capability is well acknowledged on the boards in the clubhouse. What is probably not as well acknowledged has been the manner in which he has represented the club. His competiveness, etiquette, and general ‘team first’ attributes are much appreciated by his playing peer group.

John’s Life Membership is well deserved.
