As you are all aware, yesterday we had our delayed Gala Day and I am pleased to report that it was a great success in every way.
It is not an easy event to put together however, with wonderful support from everyone at DNBC, men and women alike, along with many fantastic friends we always manage to present our guests with a near perfect visit to Dalkeith.
From excellent greens and a very well run competition to great stalls and delicious food not to mention the early morning champagne and orange juice, I guess its not surprising to hear that we already have expressions of interest from all of yesterday’s teams for our 2022 day – not that any of us want to think about that right now!
As yet, we do not have a final monetary tally but, indications are that we will be pretty satisfied with the overall figure.
Our sincere thanks goes to everyone who was involved in any way – it is very hard to individualise and I feel sure I have forgotten someone for which I apologise.
What wonderful, hardworking and supportive members we have and hopefully this can be translated into a great future for the club.
