Ken Brooke and John McCormack (shown above) took out the club men’s pairs championship by one shot.
With one end to go Andrew Foster and John Shaw were seven shots down.
On the last end, with the jack on the T, John Shaw carried it back to a nest of five friendly bowls.
Andrew added a sixth and needed to add another with his last bowl to tie the game.
Unfortunately for him the bowl just fell into the ditch, giving Brooke and McCormack, the championship 13-12.
